Objective: Create the visual design and marketing materials for a fictional Japanese cultural festival.
Identity: The logo combines the Japanese flag symbol with the festival title in traditional brush strokes. Koi fish swimming in water reflects Japan’s love and respect for nature. Color palette represents the Japanese culture with its use of orange (nobility), blue (water), beige (rural traditions), white (purity), and red (power). Curating food packaging that embraces the strong culture of Japan serves to promote and commemorate the festival.
Objective: Develop a brand identity for a fictional restaurant combining a vibe (exotic) and diet trend (paleo), randomly chosen.
Identity: A logo, stationery and packaging set, standards & guidelines, and visual brand book were needed for the restaurant’s creative representation. Simply Wild’s concept was developed from “paleo” and “exotic” being the selected elements. It focuses on the toughness and natural beauty of kraft paper to complement paleo beliefs with an exotic feel. Overall, Simply Wild emphasizes the tropical and healthy aspects of the restaurant.
Objective: Establish cohesive packaging for My Belloved, a small online business, to better express the brand and create a memorable client experience.
Identity: The logo plays on the name “Belle,” combining bells and beloved; the choice of a serif font gives an artisanal look to the brand however still remains modern and feminine. The main colors of the tissue paper, magenta, baby blue, black, pink and gold, create a whimsical contrast to each other yet allows anyone to relate. The gold attracts the eye thus giving the brand a strong visibility.
Objective: Discover the delimitations and scope of what the future of design means on a personal level and then establish the visual design for this future.
Identity: With the belief that digital displays will become rampant in the future, the concept of “LAYER” was born. Soon, there will be no barriers to what layer of a surface becomes a display - whether through flexible screens, transparent screens, or projection mapping. Thus, LAYER’s logo visually combines these three key technologies. Shades of contrasting colors highlight and identify these components throughout the posters in an easily digestible style.
Objective: Construct an identity for a conceptual on-demand mobile pet grooming service then design the user interface and experience for its mobile app.
Identity: Zoom Groom is a pet grooming service that allows you to request professional groomers through the app. Groomers come to customers - providing quality care, convenience, and loving attention to pets of different shapes and sizes with a multitude of services. The Zoom Groom logo represents clean and happy pets provided through mobility. Minimal and easy UI/UX design express the service’s convenience from the first step.
Objective: Design packaging for a conceptual brand of tea with a box shape.
Identity: A variety of green tea was selected for the brand. Word play directed the name “Releaf” as a method of reinforcing its meaning due to the tea leaf’s common usage of relaxing properties. The logo, pattern, and color expand on the green leaf motif. On the top, playful die cuts were used for an effective display of the logo’s butterfly design.
